Did you ever need to BLOCK CERTAIN WEBSITES? Suppose you visit sites that are suitable for adults only. So you would not want kids in your home to visit those websites in your PC. Or maybe, you're to monitor PCs in your office. And you don't want others to access facebook or such social networking sites while working.
So, you need to RESTRICT INTERNET ACCESS or BLOCK INTERNET SITES or FILTER WEBSITES or FIREWALL WEBSITES. Alright, Just follow the steps bellow.
1. Go to My Computer C:\ windows \ System32
2. Now go to etc folder from Drivers.
3. Here find out a file named "Hosts" and open this file by Notepad.
4. Now you can see the text "127.0.0.1 Localhost".
5. Bellow of this text write "127.0.0.2 and the website" (that you want to block)
6. Save the Notepad and exit.
As example: 127.0.0.2http://www.facebook.com
127.0.0.3http://www.myspace.com
Thus many more as you wish. But do not change
127.0.0.1Localhost. new website add only bellow.
If you want to unblock then delete the site that you have add and save the Notepad.
